Our local library reopened recently after being closed for several years. Yes, you heard me right, several years. I have been traveling to other branches since we have lived here, but now I have a brand new library with shiny new books right around the corner!
Brian had the afternoon off work yesterday so we spent some time wandering around Durham. First we went to Duke Gardens for a nice long walk with Lila in The BOB. And then, we went to the library. And it was even Brian's idea...brownie points for him.
And as what I am sure will be the first of many, many trips to come, Lila picked up a little reading of her own. Somebody got her first library book!

oh my gosh what an adorable picture of Lila and secondly, the library is SO much fun!! I had a blast there as a kid and can't wait until Daisy is old enough for us to go scouting around for new books to read together. I like Lila's first book choice! Suits her perfectly:)
